It’s time to get Fyzical!

ENT began to offer a vestibular rehabilitation program called Fyzical at their Tyler location in June of 2018. Vestibular Rehabilitation is an exercise-based program designed by a specialized physical therapist to improve balance and reduce dizziness-related problems. At Fyzical Tyler a treatment plan will be developed that will improve your ability to function in activities of everyday living, reduce your risk for falling, and, ultimately, improve your quality of life.

The Fyzical team works with each patient on a one-on-one basis to address their issues with balance. Hours of the Fyzical clinic are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. To begin Fyzical, patients must have a referral from a physician. Fyzical services are covered under most insurances.

Those diagnosed with dizziness, imbalance, vertigo, Meniere’s syndrome, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BBPV), neck-related dizziness, and migraines can benefit from vestibular rehabilitation.

The primary role of the vestibular system is to tell the brain how the head is situated-up, down, tilted, etc. Vestibular disorders often cause problems with balance or movement-related dizziness and vertigo. Loss of balance and dizziness can be debilitating and contribute to a diminished quality of life.

“Dizziness” can manifest itself in many different ways. Here are just a few of the symptoms Fyzical can help with:
